Seetag/Day at Sea 2.6 auf der/on ISLAND PRINCESS (Inside Passage British Columbia)

Igitt... ich wollte doch extra jetzt fahren, damit ich keine Insekten sehe... und heute ist ein Seetag...



Ugh... I went at this time of the year just to avoid to see any kind of insects... and today we had a day at sea...

Bruno went to his exercises.



Bruno geht wieder zum Training.

Und ich gucke denen zu, wie die Champagner-Pyramide aufgebaut wird.



And I went to see how they set up the champagne pyramid.







Made in France... Warum ist denen eigentlich bloß die NORWEGIAN EPIC so misslungen...

Die Musik, die an der Crooner's Bar gespielt lädt zum Verweilen ein. Ich mag sie.



The music they played at the Crooner's Bar invited me to stay as I liked it.

In between a small bite fresh tartare...



Zwischendurch noch einen Haps frisches Tartar...

und die Käsestangen von gestern, die aber immer noch gut waren...



and the cheese sticks from yesterday which were still very good....

If you did not get any attention, then you had to attract some attention. Here we asked with the restaurant management for some nutrition value sheets. There were not any. That was why they offered me that I could get a dinner menu already at lunchtime.



Wenn man keine Aufmerksam bekommt, dann verschafft man sie sich eben. In diesem Fall habe ich bei der Restaurantleitung nachgefragt, ob es Nährwerttabellen gibt. Gibt es nicht, aber man bietet mir an, dass ich schon mittags die Abendkarte haben kann.

Dazu bekomme ich die Rezepte, die ich von 150 Personen auf eine Person herunterrechnen muss. Da ich aber beim Durchlesen des Rezeptes positiv überrascht, was für hochwertige Zutaten reinkommen, habe ich beschlossen den restlichen Urlaub nicht mehr zu ruinieren, und vorher zu rechnen. Ich lasse mich überraschen.



Additionally they offered me to have the recipes which I needed to be calculated down from 150 persons to one. But I was amazed to read the quality of the ingredients. So I decided not ruin my vacation anymore and to pre-calculate. I let them surprise me.

It was the first time that we got a pager, and it was less than 20 minutes they told us when they released the pager.



Zum ersten Mal bekommen wir einen Beeper aber sind weit weniger als die 20 Minuten, die man uns angekündigt hat.

Jemand von uns beiden hat vergessen die Socken zu wechseln...



One of us forgot to change the socks.

The lucky Chinese number: 88...

Schon wieder die Brötchen von gestern... und von morgen und von übermorgen...



We got again the roll we had yesterday already and same tomorrow and the day after tomorrow...

Bruno's payable Coke came immediately...



Brunos Bezahl-Cola kommt sofort...

Meine auch... und dieses Mal lasse ich die Karte bewusst auf dem Tisch liegen...



But mine came too... and that time I left the card on the table...

Sad that the tables for two had strange locations...



Schade, dass die 2-er Tische so komische Lagen haben...







Empty glass...



Glas leer...

und dieses Mal hatte ich auch sofort wieder ein neues volles.



and that time I had immediately a new refill.

I got a steak knife for my lamb.



Ich bekomme ein Steakmesser für mein Lamm.



Bruno had as usual the fish.



Bruno hatte wie immer den Fisch.

Und ich brauchte unbedingt Minzsauce dazu. Keine Ahnung, was mich da geritten hatte.



And I need to have some mint jelly. No idea what made me doing this.

One last little step missed for a total perfectionism.... Sad...



Es fehle ein kleiner Tick zum Perfektionismus... Schade...

Wir wundern uns, warum auf einmal die Tischgrößen sich neben uns geändert hat.



We were surprised how quickly the sizes of tables changed next to us.

All the tables were flexible. Folding down the four sides and you had a table immediately for 4 instead of a table for 6. Just great.



Alle Tische sind flexible. Die vier Seiten runtergeklappt und man sofort einen 4-er Tisch statt eines 6-er Tisches. Einfach genial.

Bruno probiert das Sorbet.

Und ich als alter "Love Boat"-Fan muss das entsprechende Dessert haben.



As a "Love Boat"-Fan I need to try the dessert named after the TV-show.



Zum Schluss versuchen sie einem noch einen Irish Coffee oder ähnliches zu verkaufen.



At the end they tried to sell us some Irish Coffee and other staffs.

And with some Petit Fours, a lovely evening was finished.



Und noch ein Petit Four. Und damit ist das festliche Abendessen abgeschlossen.
