To the left is the entrance to Villa d'Este.

Great to have tons of old stones...

Endlich mal keinen Haufen alter Steine...

Due to the route of Bus 1 and a small congestion it's shortly after 17.30 hrs...

It was closed already. Because we booked and prepaid on internet and our tickets were already printed out before the cashier closed they gave us admission.

I choosed this place to see because it was also listed as UNESCO World Heritage.

For this year we had enough paintings on the ceilings.

So went to the garden which was just phantastic.

With this view we said bye-bye to Villa d'Este but without promising that we will return one-day.

We were trying to find the stop to the train station but we have a problem: we could not see it. Finally, we got it, and we were told that the bus will make other loops in town before he will return to another bus stop around and go to the train station.

We liked Tivoli. Italian life on a nice Italian Piazza.

Our bus approached but to make the other loop first and he does like to take us with him. But when he came, the third time he took us with him and got us to the train station.

Damned Cotral: they stopped with their buses directly in front of the square of Villa d'Este. But as usual: you cannot find out on their website for sure how, when and where the buses go.

When we were back at the train station we saw that there is a direct pedestrian bridge connecting the train station side and the city side. We estimate that the walk might be 30 minutes while we waited 45 minutes for the bus.

The best place to inform for the trains is the Café store.

19.28 hrs was our departure for the return train.

Again another generation of seats.

As we were very tired and did not want to read now in the guidebooks where to eat on our way back we ate at the Roadhouse Grill in Termini train station. I finally wanted to try an Italian Bistecca in Italy. For less than 10 EUR it was o.k..

Because we did not like to walk 400 yards again to the platform of our Civitavecchia-/Airport-bound trains we just walked one floor down and used for about 300 of the 400 yards the moving walkway.
