Thanks to the SIM card we bought in Hong Kong for Japan, I was able to upload all pictures before we docked. The best place to do was in the aft: a cup of coffee, and a croissant, and starting to transmit...

Our Japanese SIM-card of b-mobile.

We would get it in our hand soon.

So far I was more at the bow in the morning.

But it was also very nice in the aft. And again the nice guys who did everything to make us feel well on board.

Making you wanting more.

And finally I found MY DIAMOND PRINCESS.

Due to the limited time because of the immigration procedure, we ordered the breakfast for our cabin.

 border=0

 border=0

The English Muffin reminded very much to Mc Donald's. It tasted the same way.

Bruno was excited. Finally an unsweetened yogurt.

 border=0

Bruno ist begeistert. Endlich ein ungesüßter Joghurt.

Kein Zucker lt.

No sugar according to the list of contents. So far, they told him that there was not such onboard.

Arriving in Kagoshima, Japan. Everything was well prepared. Even some came to welcome us. And they were preparing the sales stands for later the day.

Ankunft in Kagoshima.

In a restaurant they set up the "counters" for the Japanese authorities. I read many times that it might work very chaotic. When we called Nagasaki on CELEBRITY MILLENNIUM 2014 everything was set up ashore. Then they unfortunately forgot to tell us that we needed to leave the ship until a certain time. We sat in an alternative dining and needed to pay and were thrown out, because there was nobody who told us that we had to leave. But at that time it went very fast. It might be only for guests like us a problem, as we had a private tour and did not know when we could be off the ship. For guests with booked tours, they walked the extra mile. But not so extreme like with Celebrity. They lied to us to keep us on board and to have their guests off the ship first. Single guests were escorted to by-pass the queues to complete their groups to let them go. When they were looking for a translator in Chinese, I offered them to help, but the problem was solved already before I could do anything.

Before we entered the real line in the restaurant our arrival forms were checked for conformity so no immigration officers needed to deal with anyone longer than necessary.

To make it possible that everyone leaves quickly the ship, they gave us those card. So nobody needed to find the entry stamp in the passport but only handing over the card. You could feel the difference: DIAMOND PRINCESS who was best prepared for the Japanese market while Celebrity occasionally touched Japan and was not prepared so well.

The tour startet at 09:00 hrs. Just perfect timing.

Die Tour beginnt um 09.00 Uhr. Punktlandung.

We were all asked for fruits.

My excitement for private tours in Japan lasted until now. Actually, it was not very cheap. But if I would like to see someone again because I was convinced that I could experience a lot in a great way and it was worth so much that it was easy for me to waive tours in other Japanese cities. It was again well and exemplary arranged. Japanese perfection and liability. We knew June from Nagasaki on CELEBRITY MILLENNIUM 2014. We stayed on Facebook in touch because she was very much interested in ecological projects and posted a lot appropriately. She was coming with Horoshi as our driver. He ran Sunflower Taxi and spoke very well English too. Best would be to get in touch with them on Facebook. I always thought that June was from Nagasai but she needed to travel just for our tour and she did it again. She was living in Fukuoka. At least it was on the same island like Kagoshima and Nagasaki. A few days before our call there was just an earthquake. They suspended the high-speed-Shinkansen-train-service and I had no idea if we would make the port call. So I was delighted that everything worked properly since she had well organized it again.

We moved on the ferry over to Sakurajima. An active vulcano.

On our way, we saw DIAMOND PRINCESS.

Kirishima-Kinkowan National Park. First, we went into the visitor center. One bus from the cruise ship was with us on the ferry. But they did not come with us to the visitor center. Everywhere there was volcanic ash on the floor. We started with a little movie on Sakurajima. Then I enjoyed a tangerine juice because tangerines (Sakurajima-Komikan) from here were very famous for their flavor.

Kirishima-Kinkowan Nationalpark.

We took a hot bath of the feet in volcanic water. The boot on the parking was irritating me, and I was wondering if the owner also took a bath of the feet. Since I had no towel with me, I simply used my t-shirt as a substitute for a towel. Now I had a boiled pork shank (Eisbein = traditional German dish). Only the Sauerkraut, mushy peas and mustard were missing.

We continued for the observation point. A small exhibition, a nice view round-around, a kiosk with some vending machine where you could get a hot coffee.

We were told that the ferry was famous for their Udon-Noodles. Although we were on our way for lunch: we shared one portion to try. You had some nice relax zones on board. Everywhere in Japan, you could get a stamp to proof your visit to attractions.

For lunch, we went into the Restaurant One Two Three in Kobuku. The visit was perfectly organized. We got ahead the menu before in the vehicle, and we needed to make our choice ahead of our arrival. We liked the parking: no bus from the ship would fit. The restaurant was famous for the black pig-specialities. Finally, no sushi, no teppanyaki, no tempura. Something new at the end. And it was delicious. I loved Japanese food. And how nicely it was always arranged. Also for the hunger of the eyes. Bruno was told that he looked similar to Clark Kent. We did not know him. Maybe wrong target group. An enjoyable visit of a restaurant, mainly if it was post-phoned declared as birthday lunch. And a restaurant, which accepted international credit cards too.
