Tag/Day 3.2 auf der/on ROYAL PRINCESS in Southampton, England

Die Zeichen stehen auf Abreise. Unsere Rechnung ist da. Da man mir erklärt, dass Princess NICHT NETT ist und überzahlte Beträge automatisch auf die Kreditkarte zurückbucht, und man persönlich beim Purser erscheinen muss, haben wir bloß einen kleinen Reisescheck eingelöst.



It looked like leaving the ship. Our final bill was there. But they told me that Princess is NOT NICE, and refund overpaid amount automatically to the credit card, and you need to see the purser personally to get the refund. So we only charged a small amount travelers check to our onboard account.

Auch die QUEEN ELIZABETH ist eingelaufen. Aber die kennen wir schon gut und von ihr habe ich gute Aufnahmen.



Also QUEEN ELIZABETH arrived. But we knew her very well so I had already some great pictures of her.



Deswegen war es nicht ganz so schlimm, dass ich keine besseren Bilder von ihr aufnehmen konnte.



So it was not so tragic that I could not take any better pictures of her.









Another ship also arrived in Southampton: EXPLORER. But I had enough pictures of her too, and I had no intention to see any school again that I will join her and so my interest was quite low.



Noch ein weiteres Schiff legte noch in Southampton an: EXPLORER, aber da ich auch von ihr genügend Bilder habe und ich nicht die Absicht habe, nochmals die Schulbank zu drücken, nur um mal mitfahren zu können, ist mein Interesse an ihr auch sehr gering.

Ich gehe also in Ruhe zum Frühstück Nr. 1: eine kleine Portion Congee im Horizon Court.

And then we went no breakfast no. 2 to the serviced restaurant.



Und danach zum Frühstück Nr. 2 im Bedienrestaurant.

Wir werden auf The Stage platziert. Dort ist es Bruno aber zu kalt, so dass er sich noch einen Pullover später holt.



We were placed on The Stage. But there it was so cold that Bruno need to get his sweater.







Und wieder ist es mir passiert: Ständig vergesse ich, dass ich die Pochierten Eier bei Princess nicht mag. Mir wird eine Alternative sofort angeboten, aber ich hatte ja schon mein Congee. Wir verabschieden uns von Fabio und zeigen ihm noch schnell meine Postings auf der Princess-Facebook-Seite über sein Team.



Then it happened again: I always forget that I dislike the poached egg with Princess. They offered me immediately to get me something else, but I had already my congee. We said good-bye to Fabio and showed him our postings of his teams on Princess-Facebook-site.

Then we went to the Vista Lounge which was set up as Elite Debarkation Lounge.



Dann geht es auch wieder in die Vista Lounge, die als Elite Debarkation Lounge zur Verfügung steht.



Then we were told that we could leave the ship.



Dann heißt es, dass wir schon runter können.

Das sind die Parkalternativen, wenn man sein Auto hierlässt: CPS oder Cruise Parking (mit Shuttle Service zu einem Parkplatz auf der anderen Flußseite aber wunderbarer Möglichkeit Schiffe zu fotografieren, die am Mayflower Terminal liegen).



Those were the options if you need to park your car: CPS or Cruise Parking (with a shuttle service to a parking at the opposite side of the river but a wonderful place to take pictures of ships which docked at the Mayflower Terminal).

As we had a little time, Bruno wanted to buy some water for our ride. Downstairs there was only a vending machine, but upstairs there was a Café (like with every terminal in Southampton).



Nach dem wir noch ein bisschen Zeit haben, möchte Bruno noch etwas Wasser für die Fahrt kaufen. Unten gibt es einen Automaten und oben ein Café (wie auch in jedem anderen Terminal in Southampton).

Dort hat er wohl eine Barista-Kaffeemaschine entdeckt und bringt sich einen guten Cappucino mit.



As he discovered there a Barista coffee machine he got himself a good Cappucino.

Our pre-booked taxi did not show up. The company also had cars in the queue. That was the reason why did not see a need to inform us. So we took a taxi from the queue to get us to the Coach Station. Next time West Quay Cars again.



Unser vorbestelltes Taxi kommt nicht. Die Firma hat auch Autos in der Warteschlange stehen. Deswegen meint sie, dass sie uns nicht informieren muss. So lassen wir uns von einem Taxi in der Schlange zum Coach Terminal bringen. Das nächste mal buchen wir wieder bei West Quay Cars.

Für meinen Geschmack zu weit, um von hier zum Ocean Terminal, Queen Elizabeth II Terminal oder Mayflower Terminal zu laufen.



For my taste it's too far to walk to Ocean Terminal, Queen Elizabeth II Terminal or Mayflower Terminal.

This time I had a print-out of our ticket.



Dieses Mal habe ich das Ticket ausgedruckt.

Es wird lediglich gebraucht, um einen Strich drauf zu malen und wird mir zurückgegeben. Na ja, also war es alles bloß Schikane. Und da National Express auch auf meinen Brief nicht geantwortet hat, war es wohl unsere letzte Reise mit National Express.



It was used only to mark it with a line and it was returned to me. It looked for me that it was only harassment. And as National Express did not reply to my letter, it was our last ride with National Express.

We reached London, and we passed Harrod's at Knightsbridge.



Wir erreichen London und fahren in Knightsbridge bei Harrod's vorbei.







We passed Buckingham Palace Road but we did not see the Queen somewhere around.



Wir fahren an der Buckingham Palace Road vorbei, aber die Queen sehen wir leider nicht.

Vor der Zeit kommen wir bereits an.



We arrived ahead of time.

No free WiFi was available on our bus.



Kostenloses WLAN gibt es in unserem Bus leider nicht.

Wir holen unser Gepäck direkt am Bus ab. Hier sind wir am Ankunftsterminal der Victoria Bus Station.



We collected our bags directly from the coach. Here we were at the Arrival Terminal of Victoria Bus Station.

I asked with the Mini-Cabs for the availability of a vehicle. The price I was told sounded too high to me. And I did not like that tried to play for a sucker.



Am Mini-Cabs stand frage ich nach der Verfügbarkeit eines Fahrzeugs. Der Preis, den er mir nennt erscheint mir zu hoch. Außerdem meint er, dass er mich verarschen könnte.

Es gibt hier nur Gemeinschaftstoiletten für Männer und Frauen...



You had here unisex toilets for ladies and gentlemen.

You need 30 Pence.



Man braucht 30 Pence.

Das Ankunftsterminal liegt quasi gegenüber des Abfahrtsterminals.



The Arrival Terminal was more or less adjustant to the Departure Terminal.

The baggage storage was located in the Departure Terminal



Die Gepäckaufbewahrung befindet sich im Abfahrtsterminal.

Ich habe jedoch keine Lust gehabt, mit dem Bus bzw. der U-Bahn zu fahren.



I was not interested to use the bus or the unterground.
