Tag/Day 1.5 auf der/on ROYAL PRINCESS in Southampton, England

Wir müssen zur Seenotrettungsübung.



We need to see the life drill.

Our way took us to Vista Lounge. The good with Princess: an alternative to the theater.



Wir müssen in die Vista Lounge. Das Gute bei Princess: eine Alternative zum Theater.

Als wir ankommen ist es ziemlich leer und ein Crew Mitglied sagt uns, dass wir uns hinsetzen dürfen, wohin wir wollen.



When we arrived it was quite empty, and one crew member said that we could sit where we liked to sit.

Bruno said it was too cold there.



Bruno ist es hier zu kalt.

Aber bald kommen mehr Crew Mitglieder und sie wollen, dass wir uns woanders hinsetzen, damit ich der Saal besser füllen kann.



But soon more crew-members came and they wanted us to sit somewhere else to ease filling up the lounge.

Bruno used the waiting time for a little nap.



Bruno nutzt die Wartezeit für ein Schläfchen...

Und ich habe ja immer meine Ohrstöpsel für die sieben Alarmtöne bei.



And I always had my ear plugs with me for the alert signal.

Nicely illuminated tables.



Schön beleuchtete Tische.

Schön gekennzeichnete Rettungsweste.



Nicely marked life-vest.

Our cards were scanned to record our appearance.



Unsere Karten werden wieder gescannt um unser Erscheinen zu dokumentieren.

Bruno schläft weiter.



Bruno continued to sleep.

We only need to walk up six decks upwards. But we let all other guests walk first and looked around the promenade... Nice...



Wir müssten bloß sechs Decks hochlaufen. Aber wir lassen erstmal die anderen laufen und gucken uns auf der Promenade um... Schön...







But then there was the end.



Aber auf einmal ist Ende.



At one place it was open we continued to walk.



An einer Stelle ist es offen und wir gehen weiter.

Irgendwie wirkt es hier wenig einladend.



Somehow it did not look very inviting.

Looking around we could find any signs.



Wir gucken uns um. Gar keine Schilder.

Eine steile Rampe.

We went in. I was curious how many guests might have a door in their face.



Wir gehen rein. Ich bin mal gespannt, wieviele Gäste noch eine Tür ins Gesicht bekommen.

The removed the tribune for the naming ceremony.



Die Tribüne für die Taufe wird wieder abgebaut.

Wir stellen uns vor das Rettungsboot 1, um Marcus und Julia zuzuwinken, die in Hythe auf uns warten.



So we stood in front of life boat no. 1 to wave Marcus and Julia who were waiting in Hythe for us.



Den Douglas Ward will ich noch an der Rezeption abgeben.



I wanted to deliver my Douglas Ward to the front desk.

Somewhere there they were standing around but had not the binoculars with us which were sponsored by Princess. But maybe they will find themselves here around.



Irgendwo hier stehen sie, aber wir haben das Fernglas, das von Princess gesponsored wurde nicht dabei. Aber vielleicht finden sie sich ja selbst irgendwo wieder.
