Seetag/Day at Sea 2.1 auf der/on ROYAL PRINCESS (statt/instead of St. Peter-Port, Guernsey)

Die Sonne geht auf.



The sun arised.



Zum Tendern defintiv zu rauh.



For tendering the sea was definately too rough.

And there was Guernsey.



Und da wäre auch schon Guernsey.



The pilot boat need already a while...



Das Lotsenboot braucht schon eine Weile...

Hinterher hören wir, dass sie wohl 30 Minuten lang probieren mussten, den Lotsen wieder loszuwerden.



Later we heared that they need 30 minutes to release the pilot.

I knew already by mail that we should not have anything that day. Now I was connected to the shore network and found out that they tried to call me to let me know that all tours with Bumblebee were canceled because the weather condition would not permit. I should get a refund of my money since we could not come again on Sunday.



Ich wusste ja schon per Mail, dass heute nichts stattfindet. Jetzt melde ich mich im Landnetz an und stelle fest, dass sie auch gestern versucht haben anzurufen und mir mitzuteilen, dass die Tour mit Bumblebee ausfällt, weil einfach das Wetter ein Anlegen nicht zulässt. Mein Geld soll wiederbekommen, da ich nicht am Sonntag mitfahren kann.

Ein neues Programm gibt es noch nicht.



So far we had no new program.

We tried to get shoreside network again, but we drifted away so quickly that we soon were not able to receive a shoreside signal.



Wir versuchen das Landnetz noch zu bekommen, aber leider drehen wir so schnell ab, dass wir bald kein Mobilfunksignal mehr bekommen.

So wenige Tasten...

Und immer noch ein falscher Standort auf dem Bildschirm.



But still the wrong location of the ship on the screen.

But later it was changed on the TV-system too: It was a day at sea.



Und dann ist es auch im Fernsehsystem geändert. Es ist ein Seetag.

Beim Duschen stelle ich fest, dass Metallscheiben im Duschvorhang eingearbeitet sind: so hängt er besser.



When I was taking a shower I found out that they included small metal discs in the curtain, so it fitted better.

A rack for your feet.



Eine Ablage für die Füße.

Nur das Toilettenpapier hängt ziemlich dämlich.



But the location for the toilet paper was very stupid.

And very stupid too: if you come to the cabin in the night and one was already sleeping: you can only turn on the light in the sleeping part additionally. On ISLAND PRINCESS you can turn on the light in the closet area only so the other could continue to sleep.



Und auch total blöd: wenn man abends in die Kabine kommt und einer schläft schon: man kann nur Lichter einschalten, die auch im Schlafbereich mit angehen. Auf der ISLAND PRINCESS konnte man noch den Kleiderschrank-Bereich nur beleuchten , so dass der andere weiterschlafen konnte.

Wir bekommen schon die Ausschiffungsinformationen.

Wieder mal in unserer Nähe: die SB-Waschlanlage.





Man braucht allerdings keine Quarters (25 Cent-Münzen) mehr, sondern holt sich Wertmarken mit seiner Bordkarte.



But you do not need any more a lot of quarters as you get token with your cruise card.

And you can watch TV here too.



Und man kann auch hier fernsehen gucken...
