We were told that our booked cabin was not available. As an alternative, they offered us a cabin in a Chateau-car. After the incidents on NORWEGIAN BREAKAWAY, we had this time blood and thunder. As I told them that I dislike the idea to pack us into an unrenovated car, they started to find another alternative, and so we got an F-cabin which meant that you had more space.

I. e. we were now just next to the Swiss panorama car...

And you can see on the map: F is indeed larger than A to E.

And just in front of us.

And the hand belonged to our stewardess who just got the order to renew the cabin for us...

The cars were named after famous celebrities. Here it was not the founder of the Fast-Food-Chain but the first Canadian Prime Minister.

"F"... what do Canadians think of unrenovated... comparing to the renovation of the oldest generation of High-Speed-Trains in Germany I thought of something entirely different...

Well... 2 armchairs which you could move as you wanted...

The staff we need to take a shower and the only storage for our bags.

The switches reminded me very much to the 50s...

And the switch for the air ventilation reminded me more of our first cruise ship: OCEAN COUNTESS...

We had luck as our new bag fit perfectly into the space...

After the rain shower we had no more a panorama view... Was there no chamois available to dry the window clean and nice...

As you could not lock the door by the key, you had to carry all your valuables with you all the time. We were told that the train was currently occupied by old people who had no need to steal and so far nothing was taken... I remember the legendary sleeping car trains toward Naples and you need to have your own bike chained lock to lock your doors from inside...

A sink in the cabin.

At least we had some power outlets...

And it was a table at once, and so you need to clear before you can wash your hands...

But the soap looked a little strange to us...

Well the toilets in the German sleeping trains were smaller. Those here were true "human"... You must not enter the toilet backward and you can turn around 90°, and you were still able to take off and lift your pants...

But the first advise we got before we were welcomed: the upper bottom was not for the flush but to call the attendant for an emergency... but the lower one.

This one looked like those we have with our German trains, and it worked simultaneously... You had to press long, deep and multiple times before something happened...

The towels which you need next to the sink were inside on the inside of the toilet door.

But for the shower you had a great bag because that was located outside.

Everything you need was inside the bag.

Aber alles drin, was man so braucht.

Und nachts wird ein Pullmann-Bett hergerichtet.

And for the night they set the Pullmann-bed.

And the lower berth.

And because we placed some German chocolate for our cabin attendant we got a personal Good-Night-greeting...

And the arm-chairs were placed under the bed. That was why we could not stow any bags here.

I slept the way that I could look the whole night through the window.

When I was in the 3G-Network of Bell Canada, I played the German Railways' App to find out the next VIA Rail Canada train station... which was not found but the Spanish train station in Ferrol was only 4,661.7 miles away. So the GPS worked quite well in the Rockies because a significant part of the route was next to the Panamericana road and that was well covered.

By the way we would like to introduce you our pearl Marilyne...
