Tag/Day 8.2 auf der/on OCEAN PRINCESS in Civitavecchia, Italy

Um die eigenen Transfers zu verkaufen, erzählt man ja auch mal bewusst Müll. Angeblich hieß es, dass keine Taxen und private Transferdienste am Terminal vorfahren dürfen, aber das ist Müll, weil es nicht stimmt. Hier stehen sie in Reih und Glied: die privaten Fahrdienste.



To sell their own transfers they told nonsense. They said that no pre-booked transfer is allowed at the pier to pick up the guests. But that was nonsense. Here you see them all waiting for their guests.

There was the free shuttle to the port gate... who liked it...

Und auch ein Taxi aus Civitavecchia wartet auf Kundschaft. Aber bei den Preisen auf der Homepage bin ich froh, dass wir nur als Minimum 90,00 EUR (2010) mit unserem Dienst zum Flughafen zahlen.



And one taxi from Civitavecchia was waiting for customers. But with the prices on their website I was quite happy that we pay as minimum 90.00 EUR (2010) with our service to the airport.

There was Daniela. With a minimal delay due to traffic congestion in Civitavecchia. The patron of Autonoleggio MZ collected us personally as we booked three transfers. Would we be only two it would be 90.00 EUR (2010) for us two? But now we were four, and so it was much cheaper for us.



Da kommt Daniela. Mit ganz kleiner Verspätung, weil es einen Stau in Civitavecchia gab. Die Chefin von Autonoleggio MZ holt mich persönlich ab, nachdem wir drei Transfers gebucht haben. Wären wir zu zweit gefahren, wären es 90,00 EUR (2010) für uns beide gewesen. So zu viert wird es insgesamt günstiger für uns.

Sie zeigt uns die Marken, die sie von den Hafenbehörden hat und sagt, dass jeder Transfer sie beantragen kann, um direkt zum Pier zu fahren. Auch sie muss wieder Porta Tarquinia rausfahren.



She showed us the tags she had from the port authorities and that every transfer company can apply them to get their guests from and to the pier. She needed to leave the port via Porta Tarquinia.

The ride was amusing. We discussed pizza and possible tours. For Tivoli incl. stay she would charge us only 350.00 EUR. A full-day excursion to Rome would be the same, but you need to add the admission fee and audio-guides. So it's more transportation from one sight to the next, and you decide where to go. Just a few miles before arriving in Rome we had a little congestion. The rest of the route looked like this.



Die Fahrt ist äußerst lustig. Wir unterhalten uns über Pizza usw. und über mögliche Touren. Für Tivoli inkl. Aufenthalt würde sie uns nur 350,00 EUR berechnen. Genausoviel kostet eine Tagestour nach Rom, wobei hier noch die Eintritte und Audio-Guides hinzukämen. Es ist also mehr als Transport von einem Besichtigungspunkt zum nächsten zu verstehen und man legt selbst fest, wo man reingehen möchte. Erst kurz vor Rom kommt es zu einem nicht-nennenswerten Stau. Der Rest sieht so aus.

Bereits um 10.15 Uhr sind wir am Terminal 3 am Flughafen Fiumicino-Leonardo da Vinci. Zeit sich von Moomin24 (Yoshi und Erico) zu verabschieden.

As we had some time we used the time to see around the train station.



Da wir noch viel Zeit haben nutzen wir die Zeit uns am Bahnhof umzusehen.

Hier sieht man das FS-Logo (Trenitalia) und dahinter das Emporio-Armani-Gebäude, dem Treffpunkt für die Hotelshuttledienste.

Terminal 5 ist das Terminal für US-Fluggesellschaften und ELAL...

To Roma Termini you had the Leonardo-Express only. For the other stations, you need to take the commuter trains of FR1.



Nach Roma Termini fährt nur der Leonardo-Express. Zu den anderen Bahnhöfen die S-Bahnen der Linie FR1.

Wer seinen Zug verpasst, weil er für die Fahrkarten ansteht, ist selbst schuld. Fast jeder Laden verkauft auch Fahrkarten für den Zug.



Who missed his train because he was queuing up for tickets might have not seen that all the stores around also sell tickets for the train.









Do not forget to cancel/validate/punch.

Der Leonardo-Express ist einstöckig.



The Leonardo-Express has only one deck.

And it's easy to identify: red-green.



Und rot-grün lackiert.

Der Doppeldecker ist die S-Bahn der Linie FR1, die nicht zum Bahnhof Roma Termini fährt. Sie hält aber in Roma Travestere und hier kann man die FR5 nach Civitavecchia umsteigen.



The double-decker is the FR1-commuter train which does not go to Roma Termini train station. But it stops at Roma Travestere, and you can change here to the FR5-commuter trains to Civitavecchia.

One more time we were allowed to see the lounge and the fast track with the security check.

Flights to Extra-Schengen-countries will depart from G and H. There you find the passport control.



Flüge in die Nicht-Schengen-Staaten gehen ab G und H. Dort ist schon die Passkontrolle.



The ways to the gates are acceptable.



Die Wege zu den Gates sind aber akzeptabel.

Nicht stundenlang wie in Amsterdam...

Kleiner Nachtrag: Gepäckausgabe: Alitalia, Air One, Air France und KLM sind nicht in der gemeinsamen Gepäckhalle. Wichtig für unsere nächste Kreuzfahrt ab Civitavecchia... oder vielleicht doch lieber ab Barcelona...



Small addition: Baggage claim: Alitalia, Air One, Air France and KLM are not in the common baggage hall. Important for our next cruise out of Civitavecchia... but maybe we prefer to go from Barcelona...
